Review + Swatches: The New Careline Lip Drip Tinted Lip Oil

If you loved and now miss the Careline x Spongebob Puh-Lips Lip Oil, don’t worry because Careline just dropped a worthy replacement! Meet the Careline Lip Drip Tinted Lip Oil (P295 / 4g). This time, instead of just a handful of shades, Careline went all out with 18 new colors. It’s their biggest lip color collection yet, and here’s everything you need to know.

This tinted lip oil is basically the Puh-Lips Lip Oil 2.0, right down to that caramel-y, chocolate-y scent. The texture is just as goopy and super hydrating, so much so that you can skip the lip balm. I really appreciate this feature since my lips are currently bone dry from being on isotretinoin. The finish is ultra-glossy and feels comforting on the lips. You can wear it alone for medium to full coverage or layer it on top of your favorite lipstick for that juicy, glassy effect.

With 18 shades to choose from, it can feel a little overwhelming. Here are some of my top picks:

  • Luminescence is a must-have. It’s a perfect neutral nude that doesn’t lean too cool or too brown, just a beautifully balanced shade that works on its own without needing a lip liner to make it look solid.

  • Emblaze is another favorite. It’s a cooler pink that’s almost the same color as my natural lips, just a touch more pink. It’s great for that "your lips but better" look.

  • Petal Blitz and Halo are also worth checking out if you love bright colors. They give a gorgeous light stain that holds up surprisingly well on the lips.

While I adore the formula, I do wish the applicator wand was smaller. It’s a bit too big and picks up too much product in one go, so I always have to blot off the excess. Also, the scent is on the sweeter side. Personally, I’m okay with it, but I know not everyone loves that kind of fragrance.

Overall

The Careline Lip Drip Tinted Lip Oil is a total steal for the price, given that you get 4 grams of product in one tube. For reference, that’s like an entire tube of concealer. Aside from value, it delivers on hydration, color payoff, and that glossy, plump finish we all crave. Just be prepared for a bit of product control with the wand, and you’re good to go. Definitely worth adding to your collection, especially if your lips need that extra love and moisture.
