Editor’s Picks: My Top 3 Careline x Spongebob Finds
Filipino beauty brands are releasing bigger and bigger collections now compared to before. It’s a good thing because it gives us consumers more formulas and colors to choose from, but it’s also a bad thing because it can be quite overwhelming! Sometimes, I have trouble going through dozens of products just within a single collection. Which one should I try first? What’s worth my time? I find that I have to be a little bit brutal when it comes to short listing what to actually use.
Anyway, if you feel both excited and a bit overwhelmed by the huge Careline x Spongebob collab, then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve tried everything, and here are the three products you absolutely need to get (if it fits your needs, of course).
SpongeBob X Careline Aye Aye Lashes! Waterproof Mascara (P325). This is the BEST Filipino brand mascara I’ve tried to date! Honestly, I didn’t think it would be anything special at first. But when I saw a makeup artist friend of mine on Facebook rave about it in a post, I got curious and finally gave it a good try and boy was I impressed! It made my lashes super thick and black, it keeps my lashes curled all day, and it doesn’t smudge or smear on me. Best thing? It’s not as hard to remove as other waterproof mascara. It comes off with normal oil cleanser. Such a steal for P325! I’m stocking up on this.
Tinted Spongegloss Lip Gloss (P325). This is another product that surprised me from the collection. I thought it would just be your normal lip gloss - adds shine, maybe a bit of tint, but that’s it. I don’t often use gloss, to be honest. But this one for me is not really a gloss - it wears more like a lip serum with a bit of gloss! It leaves a good tint and keeps my lips hydrated. This is one of my go to lip products to wear at the gym, since it doesn’t deposit too much color and the tint stays while I work out and drink water. Magic Conch is my fave shade!
Best Blush Ever Powder Blush (P250). I loved this one after first try. The blush just goes on smoothly and staying power is a winner - just see my wear test in my TikTok review! The shades are so pretty too, with Wumbo and Meow Love stealing the show for me. I like using Meow Love to add a bit of that apricot warmth to my lids and cheeks, while Wumbo is a great cool-toned blush with a glowy finish - lovely for the angel makeup look.
