Six Reasons We’re Loving the New Happy Skin x Marj Eye Collection
This is already the third time that Marj Maroket has collaborated with Happy Skin and they definitely did not disappoint! First, they came out with a full brush set that Liz positively reviewed here. Then they released a petite version that’s perfect for traveling and on the go. And now, we’ve come full circle as they introduced their eyeshadow brush set and eyeshadow palette. You may have gotten some info about this release on the Beauty News Roundup, but I'll go over all that you need to know about the collection and why I'm loving it:
1. You get 6 vegan and cruelty-free brushes for doing a variety of eye makeup looks
The brushes in the Happy Skin x Marj Eyeshadow Brush Set (P1,499) are 100% vegan, made of synthetic but plush fibers and an easy to grip wooden handle. This composition is similar to the previously released Full Brush Set and as per Liz’s feedback, the brushes maintained their softness even after washing.

2. The eyeshadow brushes are beginner-friendly
When starting out with eye makeup, it can be confusing to identify which brush to use for each step. Having a set designed to work together is helpful for beginners, so the Happy Skin x Marj Eyeshadow Brush Set is available as a set only. The handles of each brush are also labeled clearly so you don't forget which is which.

The brushes are also pretty flexible in use as Celeb MUA, Anthea Bueno, shared at the launch event. She even uses the Crease Brush to apply lip products as this gives off a more natural finish. The generally smaller size of the brushes are also great for Asian eyes.
3. The eyeshadow palette has skin-friendly ingredients added
The Happy Skin x Marj Eyeshadow Palette (P1,299) is made by Happy Skin, so of course it's not just aesthetically pleasing makeup. They added "hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and plumping Squalane formula" for healthy eyelids.
4. There's a primer included in the palette
For travel or on-the-go application, having a primer included makes the Happy Skin x Marj Eyeshadow Palette really convenient. It's a light beige cream primer that will help the eyeshadows last longer.
5. The colors create a neutral palette, perfect for daily wear
During the launch of this eye collection, Marj admits that this is not a groundbreaking palette but more of a carefully curated, good quality, neutral palette. From more than a hundred colors, they chose these ones:

The neutrality of the palette's colors makes it work for one shade-eye makeup looks on rushed days. Marj even referred to the Fluffy Blending Brush as her "Lazy Girl Eye Brush" because it's her go-to for this kind of quick application.

6. Night time looks are also achievable with this palette
While the overall neutral color range of the Happy Skin x Marj Eyeshadow Palette makes it good for daytime looks, the different finishes make it buildable and versatile enough to go from morning to evening looks. There are 6 matte shades and 2 shimmer shades included in this palette. Happy Skin has shared a few reels on their FB page of reviews that create makeup looks suitable for different occasions.
Getting the Eyeshadow Brush Set and the Eyeshadow Palette individually is possible, but you can get both in a set (P2,499). While the Happy Skin x Marj Eye Collection may seem pretty basic, they are basics that can be your go-to essentials. The Eyeshadow Brush Set has all you need to create an eye look while the shade selection of the Eyeshadow Palette is well-thought of. As someone who can get overwhelmed with too many shades and too many finishes in a single palette, I welcome the neutrals chosen by Happy Skin x Marj into my collection.
