Innisfree’s Best Brightening Serum Now Comes In Pads

On the heels of last year’s big transformation and new look upgrade, Innisfree is spoiling us with new releases, this time a whole new format for one of their bestselling serums! We’ve previously reviewed the Innisfree Vitamin C Green Tea Enzyme Brightening Serum (P2800/50ml) here on Project Vanity and we loved the instant brightening effect this had on the skin.

A throwback to the first time I fell in love with the Innisfree Vitamin C Green Tea Brightening Serum. On left is the before…

…and after!

Now the Vitamin C Green Tea Brightening Serum is a bestseller for a reason, promising to brighten 45% of dark spots in as little as seven days. The power and efficacy of the serum is completed by the green tea ingredient as it’s supposed to gently exfoliate the skin for deeper penetration of the vitamin C. There’s no need to worry about sensitivity or irritation either as the serum achieved a score of 0.0 on irritation tests done.

The new Innisfree Vitamin C Green Tea Brightening Pad (P1600/170ml/60pcs) holds the power of your favorite serum on a large pad making it easier to use the product. No need to dispense on a separate pad and enjoy the added versatility that the form gives. If you have stubborn dark spots in specific problem areas, you can leave the pads on for longer for a more targeted treatment. You also don’t have to worry about developing dry patches as the serum is thick and leaves the skin feeling moisturized.

Each pad is absolutely soaked in serum and you only need to use one for your entire face and neck area. And much like a face mask I like to use any excess serum left on the pad and apply it to my knees and elbows. The pads also don’t dry out even after placing them on the face for ten minutes, allowing me to enjoy a mini face mask break as I continue with my routine and day. After using the pads I didn’t notice any peeling or irritation even with my sensitive skin!

The versatile format although great does have a drawback, being the stability of the active ingredient. Because these are vitamin C serum pads, I do recommend keeping these far away from the sun and minimizing exposure to air to keep the vitamin C as stable as possible. You can take it a step further and store them in the fridge which has the added benefit of a cooling sensation when you use each pad.

Before (left) and after (right) using the brightening pads for three days.

Three days may not be enough time to lighten my most stubborn dark spots but the serum did leave me with bright and moisturized skin.
