The new Maybelline Superstay 24HR Full Coverage Liquid Foundation (P499) is so good that it won the Allure Best of Beauty 2018 for Full Coverage Foundation! With such a glowing recommendation, I was very excited to try it out!

Never mind its promises of being a "treatment concealer" - let's be real, this is not skincare - but it's a crazy good concealer that covers and plumps up the skin beneath flawlessly.

Here's the thing: it's not fair that only us girls get to use makeup to make ourselves feel good. I believe anyone should be able to use makeup to uplift their spirits and help them feel more confident! If a guy has blemishes or dark circles that are deducting from his pogi points or making him look haggard, why makeup-shame him for using concealers?

Life is good, PV girls, it is so, so good! There’s loads to be excited for, starting with all the insane sales and promos to celebrate International Lipstick Day on July 29! We're looking forward to amping up our glow with cult-favorite Hourglass Cosmetics, which will be available in the Philippines very soon. I have a (well-documented) bias towards high-end bases. Drugstore foundation, concealer, and powders can do the thankless job of creating flawless skin, surely, but luxury bases belong to another planet. The shade selection, pigmentation, finish, and staying power of expensive base makeup (upwards P1,500) are remarkably better than what you can find for say, less than 500 bucks.

Lipstick is the last thing I apply on my face before I leave the house. It's the final puzzle piece to my look and it determines so much of how I want to express myself for the day! That's a lot of pressure to put on just a single cosmetic product, I know, but that's the beauty of lipstick. You can always change your mind.
