My top 10 favorite finds last February

I can't believe I survived February. It's only the second month of the year but I've been ridiculously busy! I noticed that people like to brag that they're busy, as if it's an achievement. Like a badge of honor. For me, busy - or in my definition having too many things to do that I'm at my wits' end - is not good. I like to take my time doing my work so that it's polished and perfect before I turn it in. Being rushed all the time is no way to live.

Not that I'm complaining. I love my work, I just need more time to do it! And to rest afterwards. :) Anyway, here's my top ten best of February!

Headlining the list is the Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner. Don't you just adore it when products are affordable AND work amazingly well at the same time? This gel eyeliner doesn't smudge or fade and comes with a really good brush too. :) It's not going to rival the MAC Fluidline (my fave gel liner of all time) but it comes close in terms of wear.

Another good drugstore find is the L'Oreal Lucent Magique Foundation. This is the drugstore version of Lancome Teint Miracle! It has a brightening, glowy finish without the shimmer, and makes skin look amazing in person and on camera. However, this doesn't last particularly long so if you have oily skin you might want to consider other options.

The MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Sunny Seoul is a staple daily lipstick for me lately. It's so pretty! And not too intimidating, if you know what I mean.

While I like dainty pink lipsticks I also have room for a daring flash of color like the Estee Lauder Pure Color Long-Lasting Lipstick in Fuchsia Fever. It's so eye-catching no? This is a great lipstick to wear when I'm too lazy to put on anything else. Fuchsia Fever is like the red lipstick of hot pinks!

I didn't think I would say this but I am picking up the Bobbi Brown Eyelash Curler more often than my Shu. It's a great eyelash curler; you'll notice the difference when you curl your lashes with it. It fits my eye shape perfectly so I never accidently pinch off my hairs or smudge my eyeliner. It's surprising that no one is raving about this more!

The secret to my now almost blemish-free skin: the Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. It's expensive but I swear this works! On me anyway. It heals pimples and fades acne marks faster, and is quite economical to use too. I highly, highly recommend it. I hope it can work the same magic on you as it did on me.

Etude House never disappoints, not just in makeup but in their skincare as well. Currently I'm using the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Enriched Cream along with my Clinique Moisture Surge Intense. It's a heavy moisturizer that will not be feasible on oily skin, but on combi skin this works well. It keeps my face smooth and hydrated! That's all I ask from a moisturizer.

Aaand here's my current soap, the Beauty and Bright Moringa Soap. I like that it lathers well, smells fantastic, and I feel it makes my skin look more even. Props to new local brands that come out with natural, affordable products that work!

I've already emptied my Nivea Body UV Whitening Serum SPF25 PA++ and I'm definitely buying more. This chemical sunlblock doesn't streak, has a nice citrus scent, and is super duper light swear! It works well with the Beauty and Bright soap, I think. It's half the reason I feel my body skin is nicer than usual.

Last but not the least, the Blo Blow Dry Bar, a franchise from California, is now open in Manila! They churn out pretty good blow dries for P500 a pop. It's a great stopover before an event so do check it out if you have somewhere glamorous to be.

And that's it. Any great finds last February? Spill!
