Lipstick Week: Happy Skin's Limited Edition Summer Lippies

Bright lipsticks are easy for me to wear since I seem to have an undertone that works with lots of colors. Nine times out of ten, a bright lippie looks good on me! I'm lucky in that sense. Finding nudes and MLBBs though are a bit tricky. I look nice in them, but nice just doesn't cut it. If I'm going to wear something not-so-exciting, it might as well be extremely flattering! Does that make sense? :P

Anyhoo, as promised, here are the swatches of the new Happy Skin Turn Up The Heat set! These three Shut Up & Kiss Me Lippies (P549 individually and P1,249 for the three) are all gorgeous, but my favorite - my absolute favorite lippie right now - is The Morning After. Check it out!

The formula feels more hydrating (I don't wear lip balm anymore) and applies more pigmented than the first wave of Shut Up & Kiss Me Lippies. One swipe, and I get such rich color! These also stay on better, around five hours even when I drink or eat (lightly). Note that the first lippies were amazing already, but this new set just pushed the envelope. 

Summer Crush, Sunset Kiss, The Morning After

Summer Crush is a hot berry pink with a reddish tone. It's warmer than Valentine Kiss and slightly less bright than First Kiss, which is more blue-toned. This shade is a sophisticated hot pink!

Sunset Kiss is an intense red orange with the tiniest hint of gold shimmer as you can see in the pic. It's gorgeous, but not for the faint of heart. However I'm confident enough to recommend it whatever your coloring is! Its base seems like a true red, which goes well with any undertone.

Ahh, the current love of my lipstick life. The Morning After is a mauve my-lips-but-better pink. It's subdued and elegant and super flattering on my medium skin. Julia of Bless My Bag also looks fantastic in it and she's fairer than I am! If you're only going to buy one lipstick this month, THIS IS THE ONE. You won't regret it!

So there you go. ^_^ I recommend you get the set for P1,249 instead of buying just one or two, since it's more sulit. The lippies come down to arund P400 only, versus the P549 price tag if you buy them apart. Get one na!
