My top 10 favorite finds last March
In any long-term relationship, sometimes, you just run out of things to say. Perhaps it's the lack of something new to explore, or the absence of inspiration and interest. How do you stay interested in something or someone for six years?
Commitment, however, is not a passive thing. You choose to stay interested and to say something even when it bores you sometimes. You choose to keep the relationship because it's part of your identity and it keeps you happy. That's why I still blog, even when I feel like doing something else. It's just who I am.
In addition to that: The thing about trying to write as quickly as possible is that I don't get to say everything I already take for granted in my head. There are simply days when it is difficult to do what I need and want to do, but often it's as easy as breathing air. There are rough patches in any relationship, but I choose to step over them instead of getting caught up. At the end of the day, it's not really an issue.
Anyway, it's time for my monthly hit list! Here are ten things that I loved last March. ^_^
Not gonna lie - the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in 45 L'Adoree is rather drying, but I love it because the color is so unique and sophisticated. As The Rolling Stones would say - you can't always get what you want! But this color is what I need. (Naks)
I adore the super shiny formula of the Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm. My fave shade is Flirtatious - it's such a fun color to wear! It reminds me of chilled fruit juice, haha. I'm always up for complexion-brightening colors like it.
The Clinique Cheek Pop in 01 Ginger Pop is a beautiful warm color that's perfect for summer. It has a buildable formula that blends on my skin seamlessly. Ginger Pop is definitely a welcome change from pink and peachy blushes!
Have you tried rose gold blushes yet? You must! They're super flattering on any skintone since the gold gives such a nice glow. I highly recommend the Benefit Rockateur Box O' Powder Blush if you want to start on your rose gold blush addiction! ;)
I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Brow Lift Duo because it makes my brow look super polished with minimal effort. The shader is the perfect color on me, while the highlighter is super effective in lifting up my brows. I always pick this up!
NARS was one of the first ever high-end brands I bought with my own money. Up to this day, their products are still worth every penny I spend on 'em! Currently my HG eyeshadow primer is the NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. It locks down my eye makeup like nobody's business, I swear!
Sometimes though, you don't have to spend lots of cash for the good stuff. The Ellana Pressed Mineral Foundation is only P650 bucks but it is AWESOME. Creamy, with heavy coverage that still looks like skin - that's why this foundation is one of my can't-live-withouts right now. You have got to try this.
Are you lazy with eye cream, like me? If so you'll enjoy the Benefit Fake Up Crease-Control Hydrating Concealer. It keeps my under eyes from drying out too much, brightens them, and doesn't slip off after a few hours. Now I know why a lot of people love this, even though it's (by some standards) too creamy and thick at first swatch.
Everybody needs a cute brush that works like a horse. The Canmake Cheek Brush is an amazing multi-tasker, easy to travel with, and is only P600. I use it to apply foundation/BB/CC cream (liquid AND powder), blend concealer, and blush (cream and powder). It's super soft and plush!
Ahh, my spring-summer bag. <3 This Rabeanco bucket bag is a bit high-maintenance but I just love how it keeps my outfits from looking too heavy and dark. It's a fun peach-pink color that I don't have yet. To more Rabeanco bags in the near future!
And that's that. Did you find anything awesome last March too? Let everyone know! ;)
