Etude House Magic Any Cushion in Magic Peach
Sheer, lightweight, and brightening face bases with SPF are du jour for the summer. Thick foundations are almost too much to bear in this heat unless we REALLY have to. Aren't you glad that there are so many options out there for beauty buffs?
One of them is the Etude House Magic Any Cushion (P998). This is a sheer SPF34 PA++ cream with very fine shimmer that works to even and brighten your skin instantly. If you love the Korean translucent skin effect, you'll love this product since it'll make you look dewy but not shiny!
I adore how invisible it feels on my face. Staying power is okay at 4-5 hours; I get shiny in about two hours, so I just blot as needed. I can't say it's a long-wearing product but I like it for the translucent finish and sheer, lightweight feel. This is a nice base for mineral and/or powder foundation as it holds the product together versus just putting the stuff on your bare skin.
This comes in three shades - Magic Peach, Magic Mint, and Magic Pink. I have the Peach which is the most wearable and warmest of the three. It blends on my skin effortlessly, leaving it looking fresher immediately.
It offers very little in the way of coverage so you'll still need to wear concealer and foundation if you have serious pigmentation. If you have fairly good skin and just need a bit of evening out and color correction, however, then this is perfect to use as is.
Swatch of Magic Peach
Magic Peach + Ellana Mineral Foundation. Now that is what I call a proper, flawless glow!
The thin applicator works well with the spongy compact; it picks up the cream and gets it on your face with no fuss. You'll need to apply quite a few layers to visibly see any difference on your skin though! You have to understand: this is sheer, and I mean, sheer.
You get about 15 grams of product per compact, but I'm unsure whether that is 15 grams of cream alone or including the sponge. I feel this'll run out quickly since you need to use quite a bit per application.
I appreciate that each compact is sealed, and can be popped out easily to be replaced with a refill
Nonetheless, I recommend you try the Etude House Magic Any Cushion in Magic Peach if you need something brightening and comfortable with SPF on your face before your foundation. Personally, I prefer to use something liquid or cream before applying my favorite mineral foundation as it just makes the finish more glowy and impossibly flawless (see my FOTD above!). I'll be using this for days when I don't want a lot of stuff on my face!
Soooo what are your thoughts? Do you think you'll try this cushion cream?
