Beauty Roundup: Maybelline Superstay Teddy Tint, MAC GlowPlay x Bini, Makeup Revolution x Mean Girls, Rare Beauty x Hulu

Have you seen the “very demure, very mindful, very cutesy” trend making the rounds? Honestly, this millennial tita is not so sure whether the message was a sarcastic reaction to how women *should* show up at the workplace. Personally, however you present yourself is up to you! And if you do like cutesy, you’re gonna love this week’s beauty news roundup. We’re set to meet Maybelline’s fluffiest release this year: the new Superstay Teddy Tints. MAC Cosmetics is set to launch their GlowPlay Collection soon, with a special appearance from BINI! Mean Girls is celebrating its 20th (!!!) anniversary with an irresistible makeup collaboration with Makeup Revolution. Last but not least, Hulu partners with Rare Beauty to release a limited edition Mabel Mora (Only Murders in the Building) set.

New Maybelline Superstay Teddy Tint

All week long, Maybelline has been teasing a new product on social media. The star of the photos and videos: a giant, fluffy, too-cute-to-be-true pink teddy bear taking over New York. As it turns out, it’s the latest addition to the Maybelline Superstay line, and it definitely is a cutie. As most people are caught up in the trendy wave of glossy lip looks, Maybelline bravely releases its new Superstay Teddy Tint (P399), a buildable, multi-use, long-wearing tint with a soft matte finish.

Maybelline Superstay Teddy Tint comes in ten (10) shades. Those who favor nude shades should check out Skinny Dip, Baby Tee, and Keep It Cozy. If you’re craving pink shades, Knee High, Pinkie Bestie, and Cool Grunge should be right up your alley. If red and coral shades are your jam, July Forever, Coquettish, The A+, and Latte To Go should do you good.

Get your Maybelline Superstay Teddy Tint when it launches on the Maybelline TikTok Shop starting September 1st, 2024.

MAC GlowPlay Launch with Bini

MAC Cosmetics is set to launch their Glow Play Collection on August 30th, 2024 at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Their special guests? None other than P-Pop girl group BINI!

Lucky attendees will get to experience the new MAC Glow Play Cushiony Blushes and Glow Play Tendertalk Lip Balms with a bouncy castle and exclusive event photobooths. There will also be a DIY station where MAC lovers can design and string their own bracelets.

Mean Girls x Makeup Revolution Collection

Get in losers, we’re going (window) shopping! This tita cannot believe it’s been twenty years (yes, you read that right, fellow tita, 20 years) since Mean Girls was showing in cinemas. What better way to celebrate this milestone than with an unapologetically pink and glittery makeup collection with Makeup Revolution?

The collection includes blingy lip glosses ($9), Cherry Pink Loose Powder ($9), On Wednesdays We Wear Cream Blush Palette ($12), The Plastics Mini Set ($18), and the ultimate must-have Burn Book Palette ($24). Tools and accessories are also available: Get In Loser Blender ($8) and I’m a Mouse Headband ($9). The most eye-catching of all with the signature Regina George mini bag is undoubtedly the Fetch Brush Set - with Hair Clips and Bag ($24).

Hulu x Rare Beauty exclusive set

Only Murders in the Building was certainly entertaining, but honestly I kept watching for Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez’s character) and her flawless, on-point looks. Finally, Hulu has partnered with Rare Beauty and out of it emerged Mabel Mora’s Go-To Duo ($30).

The set includes a new, set-exclusive Soft Pinch Liquid Blush shade: Resilience (warm chestnut), and Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in Delight (rose brown). I can see these shades looking radiantly flattering on many skin tones. Plus, the set is valued at a total of $43, so it’s a bargain at $30. But wait, there’s more! If you buy the set online and add the code MABEL24 at checkout, you get the Mini Puffy Tote Keychain in new colorway Merlot for free ($15 value).

And that’s it for this very demure, very mindful, and very cutesy Beauty News Roundup (did I use that correctly?). Until next time!
