Beauty Roundup: Big and small news from BYS Philippines, a new setting powder from Detail Cosmetics, farewell to a local skincare brand, and more!
Project Vanity community, it’s finally the month of October! I don’t know about you but I always get excited over this month because of Halloween - a holiday that reminds us all about the transformative power and fun nature of makeup. Now, since today’s a Friday, it’s time for this week’s beauty news!
Big yet small
BYS Philippines just announced their newest face - rising South Korean star Hwang In Youp! Along with the big news, BYS Philippines introduced Skin by BYS Minis (P1,799), a handy and affordable set that includes the Extra Gentle Milk Jelly Cleanser, Extra Hydrating Balancing Toner, Extra Glow Brightening Serum, Extra Glow Face Cream, Extra Brightening Eye Cream, and Extra Effortless Pore Perfecting Sunblock. What a perfect way to try a complete skincare routine!
By the way, can I just say how happy it makes me that more and more men are fronting beauty campaigns?
Ready, set, blur
A lightweight, no-color loose finishing powder that mattifies, sets, and blurs makeup? Detail Cosmetics has got you covered! The brand recently dropped the Invisible Powder (P249), which does not alter the shade of your base makeup, sets and holds makeup, and blurs skin imperfections. If you’re wondering, this powder is talc-free, paraben-free, and cruelty-free.
Time to say goodbye
Fresh Formula, Colourette Cosmetics’ sister brand, just shared the sad news that they will be closing on December 31, 2021. While operations may end earlier depending on the availability of stocks, the brand promised that their customer service will remain running until the end of the year to answer queries. Thank you for the two years of glow-getting, Fresh Formula!
Now, be honest, what product/s will you be hoarding?
Sheer perfection
Did you know that MAC upgraded its Lustre Lipstick? Presenting the Lustreglass Sheer-Shine Lipstick - an effortlessly translucent and glossy lipstick with a luscious blend of ingredients that are good for your lips. What are the ingredients? Jojoba, raspberry seed, coconut and organic extra virgin olive oils, shea butter, and hyaluronic acid. If you love lip balms, then you will surely love this comfortable lipstick. Oh, and did I mention that there are 28 shades in total?
The perfect trio
Are you into monochromatic eye looks? If so, then you’re in luck! Glossier just dropped Monochromes ($22), a refillable monochromatic eyeshadow trio in three essential finishes - matte, satin, and metallic. With 10 different trios to choose from, there’s bound to be a signature trio for you.
Okay, that’s it for this week! See you again next Friday!
