I tried Oxecure’s pH5.5 Gentle Cleanser and it’s perfect for my sensitive skin!

I’ve always had sensitive skin all my life. When I was younger, I’d often experience allergy flare ups that’s usually triggered by the food I eat, the weather, or even stress.
These days, I’ve been dealing with mild skin irritation from the summer heat. While I’ve been managing it with a gentler, much simpler skin care routine, I’ve been looking for a new cleanser that can manage my skin’s irritation - which is mostly red spots on my chest and dry patches all over my face.
When I started dabbling into skincare in my mid-20s, I found out more about my skin’s pH level and how it plays a big part in my skin’s overall health. Essentially, our skin has a naturally acidic surface that protect it from environmental stressors and keep our skin balanced and healthy. That’s why it’s important to use low pH (6 pH and below) cleansers to keep our skin barrier intact and doing its job! A damaged skin barrier = easily irritated skin.
Since I have sensitive skin, I usually stick to gentle cleansers. Unfortunately, I don’t have much luck on finding cleansers that can cleanse my skin effectively, but still gentle on my skin. Most of the cleansers I’ve tried are either too gentle that I don’t feel like it was able to cleanse away the dirt, or too harsh that it leaves my skin dry and flaky with continued use.
I had a lovely experience with Oxecure last year so I was so excited when I found out that Oxecure is coming up with another dermatologically-tested product that’s formulated for sensitive skin.
Oxecure’s pH5.5 Gentle Cleanser (P359, 200ml; P759, 500ml) is a two-in-one face and body cleanser that’s formulated with Dual Moisture Lock Technology - it promises to support the skin’s barrier and soothe skin as it cleanses. I was on my period when I gave this cleanser a try. My skin was all over the place so I had dry patches, pimples about to come up, oiliness on my t-zone, and dull skin so I was curious to see if this product can help.
At first, the product’s scent can be polarizing. It has a mild clinical scent that’s very different from usual cleansers. However, I’m so glad that this cleanser came fragrance-free since most scented cleansers contain fragrances that can aggravate skin irritation. Personally, I opt for fragrance-free cleansers so I didn't mind the scent.
After two days of using Oxecure’s pH5.5 Gentle Cleanser, I noticed that my skin is less oily. I usually get oily midday, but recently it is much less so despite the hot and humid weather.
After a week of using it, I noticed that my skin’s redness also lessened, thanks to the Mangostreen Extract, which helps keep bacteria away, and Green Tea Extract, which helps to soothe skin. I had a minor allergy flareup due to the heat, but the product’s gentle enough to keep my skin irritation at bay.

I also tried using it on my body and it helped in calming down my irritated skin in my chest and intimate area. I didn’t think much of it since I mainly used it out of the convenience of using a two in one product, but I’m glad that it actually works from head to toe.
The most noticeable difference was that my skin’s so much plumper and healthier looking after using the product. I’ve had sleepless nights the entire time I was testing out the product because my dog got sick, but I was happily surprised when I noticed that my skin looks healthier, sleeplessness aside.
When I shared my before and after photos together (taken at the same spot, same lighting), even my workmates noticed that my skin looks healthier and plumper. Overall, I liked how the product helped revive my skin’s health! My skin is noticeably softer, smoother, and redness has lessened too.
Personally, I like how the product is gentle enough to keep my skin’s health in check but tough enough to keep pimple-causing bacteria away. Whenever I switch to a gentler wash, I usually end up with a pimple or two so it's a rare find to have a hardworking cleanser that can do both. I’m glad to find the best in both worlds in Oxecure’s pH5.5 Gentle Cleanser.
