Review: The Issy & Co. Active Skin Tint, Active Concealer and Weightless Loose Powder

Lightweight, sheer, oil-free and natural are what I look for in a tinted moisturizer. So many brands both international and local are promising these things, and I am glad that the local make-up scene has so many options! The first time I heard about Issy & Co. Active Skin Tint was from Miss Bea via her Youtube Channel. She compared this with a skin tint from another brand and she didn’t really like the coverage. I was curious, so I’m glad to finally try it out.
I am a working mom and looking sane and presentable on a daily basis is one of my goals. I would also like to cut down the number of skincare products I’d like to put on my skin and the Active Skin Tint, with Niacinamide and SPF 35 helps me with that (of course, still wearing a separate sunscreen is a must). I also bought the Active Concealer as I do have acne marks which I would like to try to conceal. I got the shade MO2 which is a perfect match with the Fawn shade of the Active Skin Tint.

One thing I noticed is that the Active Skin Tint made my skin brighter in appearance. It didn’t really cover my blemishes as this is only light in coverage - but since it brightened my skin, my scars were less noticeable! Now, the Active Concealer gave me the additional coverage that I needed to hide the redness of skin on my cheeks and my acne marks on my chin. The combination gave me medium coverage but I believe you can build up the layer of the concealer to make it more full coverage. For me I still like my skin including imperfections to show through.
I also have here the Weightless Loose Powder from Issy & Co. They have 4 variants and I have the Illuminating Finish. I applied this all over the face as a finishing powder. This powder is formulated with diamond dust which gives a light reflecting boost of radiance that provides a luminous finish. I love my final look in the next photo. I just did my brows, applied bronzer, blush and lip balm - and I am done!
Overall, I am very pleased with these three products from Issy & Co. I think the combination for everyday wear is just perfect! My favorite would have to be the Active Skin Tint. I am given a sheer, natural and healthy glow that looks like it is coming from within. My skin did not oil up after a few hours even without primer. I am glad that this line is offering several shades for Filipina skin tones. Go get your set as these really sell out fast!
