Check It Out: Lip Swatches of the New Issy Mousse Lip Tints

Issy is a brand that has a well-earned reputation for throwing the best events and having some of the most creative product launches. Even after the unforgettable ISSYMANIA Gel Pencil launch earlier this year, Issy went all out and served up Pinktopia: a fantasy world where everyone can explore their own story and live out their pink fantasy. Pinktopia served as the backdrop for the launch of their newest Mousse Lip Tints (P349/5ml), a rich plush formula that glides on the lip with a matte finish. Represented by the giant teddy bear at the center of the room, the mousse lip tint is the baby sister to the lip tint that started it all the Gelee Moisturizing Lip Tint (P349/5ml).

The launch also featured exclusive merchandise like the adorable Issy Bear Lip Hugger that holds your lip tints for you!

The Mousse Lip Tints

The mousse lip tint has a velvety cream formula that drapes the lips with pigment for a teddy-soft matte blur. The soft velvety formula is something you have to try for yourself to understand, I could not stop touching my lips as the product felt so soft and plush as I blended. The mousse then leaves a tint that stains and stays while remaining true to the original color. The formula also contains rosehip seed oil to promote skin repair and retain moisture, because a matte lip does not mean a dry lip!

Lip Swatches

The Mousse is a matte formula with a moderate amount of pigment that you can intensify by layering more product. I have a golden warm skin tone and found that pigmented shades that stood out were ones I liked the best. Shades like Freaky, a wild pink berry, and Espresso, a roasted deep brown, were unique shades that I really liked and I felt complimented my skin. While shades like Mischief, a bratty warm rose, Casual, a chill rosewood, and Bitten, a bruised mulberry, were colors that I could wear regularly as a go to lip.

Single layer swatches for each shade of the Mousse Tint.

As for the other shades for those on the lookout for more pinks to add to their collection look no further than Tickle, a kittenish pink, and Whip, a baby peach shade. Slip is a taut rosy nude shade that works for everyday wear. As for browns, Teddy is a cool brown while Fixation is a warmer brown reminiscent of the 90s obsession with brown lip colors.

Even if you’re not a matte lip girlie, a matte lip tint or stain is something that you can add to your arsenal and combine with other products to create the perfect lip look. Having a stain as your base lip product will ensure that you always have some color even after a day of eating and drinking.

November will mark Issy’s fifth birthday and although my lips are sealed, they told me there’s tons more to expect from Issy before the year ends! Get your hands on the newest Mousse Tints and merchandise from Issy from their official Lazada and Shopee storefronts.
