The magic of Japanese hair treatment masks from Kracie

One of the things I love about beauty is how social it is. You can experience and learn so much because the products and trends are so heavily influenced by the community it serves, time it is in, and location it takes place in!

This is always something I consider when I view beauty products and trends because the context of why it was made or how it came about really gives you a better lens to understanding the product.

That was why I was so excited to try these Kracie products. This is my first time to try Japanese hair care! For a bit of context, I have wavy hair and have been doing the Curly Girl Method on and off for a year. I also have a newfound interest in dyeing my hair to match all those tumblr girl pictures I had saved in my phone from circa 2010.

This is a great option for every hair type with a formula that works on repairing your hair from damage while also working on preventive care to strengthen your strands with continued use.

With a fruity scent, this is a great choice for a refreshing boost to your hair care routine. Between the two hair masks, this has a thicker consistency that is packed with more oil - so a little goes a very long way! Leaving my hair silky-straight all throughout the day.

Dear Beaute Himawari Oil in Hair Treatment Pack (P895 / 180g)

This is recommended for dry, damaged, and mature hair with its formula that focuses on moisture retention and damage repair. Its use of Japanese botanical oils definitely gives it that edge in providing a deep condition.

When you unscrew the lid, you will be greeted with a luxurious floral scent that adds to the experience of applying the treatment into your hair. This has a more lightweight and whipped feel to its formula but the conditioning power still packs a punch! My hair is more manageable and easier to style after using this treatment.

A tip when it comes to using hair masks is to remember that its primary duty is to lock in moisture. Since our scalp produces natural oils for our hair and scalp’s health, focusing more of the product on the ends of your hair and only applying a bit on the roots or avoiding them altogether could offer longer lasting effects by not adding to the natural oiliness of your scalp.

From my initial use, I was happy to see how instantly the ends of my hair were revived. With bleached hair, there are just some days when conditioner cannot cut it but now I have learned that all it takes for my hair to get back to looking soft and silky is a good hair mask! It really is a quick solution to dry and unhealthy hair.
