The Sally app helps you shop at Puregold while you're at home or at work
In today’s busy world, don’t you just wish your time was actually spent doing something worthwhile? So much of our day goes to doing chores and being in stuck in traffic, and we’re forced to accept them as part of daily life. I’ve found myself wishing for someone to take care of all the little things that I could delegate, without adding strain to my family’s budget. Even if I just had someone to do all my shopping for me, I would have saved time from driving to and from the grocery, walking through each aisle, and waiting in line for the cashier!
Do you also wish you had a personal shopper? Well, I’ve got good news for you! Puregold and Globe Telecom have been working together to make our lives a little bit easier. They created SALLY, an app that acts as your personal Shopping Ally! And it’s totally free to use!
Simply download the Puregold Mobile app (available for free at the Google Play Store for Android devices and App Store for iOS). And that’s it! You now have your own personal shopping assistant literally at your fingertips, and you can experience cart-less grocery shopping wherever and whenever. To use, select the Puregold branch nearest you, put in an order (minimum of P1,000), and choose a schedule to pick up your order. It’s so fast and easy, you basically shop with convenience at your own home, and you don’t have to deal with long lines!

I love that I can use the phone app to just scan the barcode of products I want to buy, and I admittedly had such fun checking which of my beauty essentials were available. After downloading the app, I went straight to my bathroom to test the barcode scanner function and found a lot of the PV team’s supermarket beauty faves. I simply used the in-app barcode scanner to capture a products’ barcode, and if it’s available at Puregold, the product will appear in your cart. This is how I discovered that the Biore Cleansing Oil is cheaper at Puregold than the store I usually buy from!
The barcode scanner makes it extremely easy to repurchase household staples but if you don’t have the product at hand, you can also use the search bar function to find the item you need and add it to your cart.
Another thing I liked about SALLY is that it has several payment methods available. If you’re a segurista like me, you can choose the Pay In-Store option. You can also choose to pay right in the app via GCash, debit card, or credit card (a smart move if you’re building up points and rewards).
Speaking of points, regular Puregold customers can link their Puregold Perks Card to the app so that your online purchases are also tracked. You can even use the app to check how many points you have at any given time.
Love a good deal? The app sends you alerts for special promos! In fact, they have a promo code right now exclusively for those who order via the Puregold Mobile app, until February 15! So better download the app ASAP!
SALLY also makes it easier to reorder previously purchased items, as it remembers all your prior orders. This is such a great time-saver, particularly for small businesses and creatures of habit.
If you have any concerns, simply tap the Ask Sally button on the app’s main menu, and you can chat with Sally about your order. There’s still a human touch to the process, as a Puregold representative will call after you place an order. This allows the store to adjust the order as needed, and to coordinate the pickup time at your chosen Puregold branch.

For now, you can pick up orders made via Puregold Mobile at 10 select branches: Puregold Makati, Puregold Shaw, Puregold QI Central, Puregold Paco, Puregold Pasig, Puregold Commonwealth, Puregold Libertad, Puregold Monumento, Puregold Taguig, and Puregold Ayala Malls (Marikina). The Puregold x Globe Telecom partnership aims to eventually roll out the service nationwide to at least 100 branches by the end of year, so make sure to check back for updates.
Using this app can save me from the hour or so that I spend just browsing grocery aisles, and my kids won’t be able to sneak too many items into the cart! Instead, I can spend that time with my family, catch up on my reading, or maybe treat myself to a quick mani-pedi.
