Skincare for singit exists, and we tried it out

After a solid six months trapped in my house, I feel like Jack Nicholson in The Shining had it better: he had two people, a huge space and many many ghosts to talk to. To keep me sane, I’ve been doing more skincare. No make-up, no direct sunlight and lots of time to moisturize means my skin has been gloooowinggg.

With my face skin care good and done, I want to expand my routine Down There. Got to say, the marketing gods definitely agree! I keep getting ads for  Mink, an intimate skincare company “made with passion, spunk, and a little bit of mischief”. They have several products formulated especially for taking care of boobs, butt and bikini line.

Prettits (PHP 499) is a boob mask with Kaolin clay and marine collagen. It’s meant to be a purifying yet moisturising mask to take care of chest acne and tiny bumps. Another product is their I Am Booty-ful Butt Scrub (PHP 499) with Dead Sea Salt and glycolic acid to exfoliate and smoothen your peach.

But the product I’m most interested in is their Peek-ini Bikini Serum (PHP 299 for 300g).  I have some discoloration from chub rub and short shorts so this is just perfect! This serum has Aloe Vera, Niacinamide, Vit C and E and Beta Arbutin to even out discoloration in the inner thighs and butt cheeks. I double-checked: it is meant for use on the singit. That’s why I decided to purchase a tube to try it out.

Peek-ini comes in rollerball packaging, about the look and size of the average lip tint. Following the instructions on their website, I did a patch test on my wrist first. I was worried it would sting sensitive places since it has a faint denatured alcohol scent, but happy to report it went on comfortably. No sting! I like that the texture is light and watery without any tackiness.

Mink’s instructions say to start slowly by applying once a week, then more often as your skin gets used to the product. I’ve been applying the Mink serum to my bikini line, elbows and underarms for about three weeks. No change elbows and armpits BUT my bikini line lightened considerably.

You know when a sunburn starts to heal and you can rub patches of old skin off? That’s what it looks like. It’s weird because this hasn’t happened with other whitening products applied to my face. The new skin is also three or four foundation shades lighter, it doesn’t hurt or feel raw either. I’ll have to road test a bit more to see if the patches become more even but offhand it looks like Mink PH makes good on its promise!

If you have different skin concerns Mink has two other serums for the same size and price, Happy Nips and Bring Knee to Life. Although they have similar ingredients lists, the serums have different amounts of each ingredient based on where it is meant to be used.

Peek-Ini Ingredients List: Ingredients: Glycerin, Dead Sea Salt, Marine Collagen, Himalayan Salt, Glycolic Acid, Tea Tree Oil
