Beauty Roundup: New skincare from blk cosmetics and lip products from Happy Skin, Avon and Make Up For Ever!
Are you ready for December? I don’t think I am. I still don’t have my Christmas tree up. I haven’t selected my gift wrapper for this year. I don’t even have my holiday red lipsticks in order yet! How about you? Do you have any Christmas traditions? Anyway, speaking of tradition, let’s talk about the latest in this week’s beauty roundup!
Beauty Roundup: A holiday collection from Vice Cosmetics, two major drops from GRWM Cosmetics, and a new powder from Make Up For Ever!
How’s your holiday shopping list, PV Community? Have you created one already? I haven’t! I like participating in the holiday rush. I do, however, have a holiday wishlist for myself already - how selfish, I know. But hey, we have to reward ourselves, right? Anyway, these new beauty releases in beauty might make it on your list.
Beauty Roundup: More Colourette Colourtints, a new MAC mascara, the Make Up For Ever HD Skin Foundation, and multi-use pigments from The Body Shop!
And just like that, it’s the month of November, PV Community! As we slowly usher in the holiday season, expect beauty releases to still be on full speed ahead. After all, a lot can happen in a week, as evidenced by these new drops in beauty!
Beauty Roundup: Pixi x Hello Kitty, new Make Up For Ever liners, and a new Guerlain Aqua Allegoria fragrance!
And just like that, it’s the month of August, PV Community! Have you noticed that people are starting to share Mariah Carey and Jose Mari Chan memes? The Christmas spirit never gets old. So, I won’t be surprised if you’re already creating your wish lists. Perhaps something on this week’s beauty roundup will make the cut!
Beauty Roundup: A celebrity MUA beauty brand, MAC Loves Lisa, and MUFE’s first clean foundation!
The year 2021 has been such a wonderful year in terms of beauty releases, and I’m sure that, like me, you are all excited for what’s to come in 2022. Here’s what you need to know about!
Beauty Roundup: MAC’s latest limited edition collection, MUFE’s Aqua Resist Brows, a luxury skincare brand on Lazada, and new Pat McGrath Mothership Palette!
Hi, everyone! Happy Friday! I can’t believe how fast this week flew by. How was your week? I hope it was an exciting one. Speaking of exciting, it’s time for another beauty roundup! For this week, we’re talking about MAC’s Botanic Panic Collection, Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Resist Brows, La Mer on Lazada, and Pat McGrath’s Mothership IX: Huetopian Dream Palette!
We tested Make Up For Ever’s new foundation made specifically for reviving tired skin
Is it just me or is 2019 passing by quickly? The Ber months are here, and holiday season is right around the corner! With everything going at full steam ahead, stress and lack of sleep can become your daily companions. We don’t need to worry though - Make Up For Ever has just launched their newest solution to helping us stay fresh faced: the Make Up For Ever Reboot Foundation (P2,700).
These are the five lightweight foundations you need to survive this fickle weather
When it comes to face bases, I have a bias for lightweight foundations. I love how it evens out my skin tone without covering too many imperfections, thus allowing my skin to still look like skin. The light to medium coverage is also great for everyday wear as it fades more gracefully and is not as fussy as full coverage foundation can be. Weather-wise, lightweight formulas are just perfect for the fickle super-hot-then-suddenly-wet season we’re currently experiencing, as these lightweight foundations literally feel like nothing on the skin.
Save, Spend, or Splurge: Lip balms that deliver moisture + color
The intense heat we’re experiencing this summer has made my lips drier than usual. Although I love wearing matte lip products, it’s just too uncomfortable to wear now because even with a balm underneath, my lips still dry out like a raisin. I’ve been reaching for tinted lip balms more instead, as the fuss-free application gives me juicy moisture and a hint of color at the same time! Whether you want just a sheer tint or full-on pigmentation, we’ve got great recos for every kind of budget.
The trick for close-up worthy photos: Make Up For Ever's new HD additions
Earlier this May, Make Up For Ever Philippines released two new additions to their Ultra HD line: the Ultra HD Skin Perfector (P2,300) and the Ultra HD Soft Light (P1,990). The Ultra HD line is well-known among professionals as being one of the most camera-friendly foundations in the market. Formulated to look photogenic at 4k resolution (standard HD being only 1280p), the Ultra HD lets you #beYOUunfiltered whether going bold or bare.
Just In: The Make Up For Ever x Jessie J Artist Face Color Palette
Make Up For Ever is at it again! In line with their branding as professional-quality cosmetics, they’ve recently launched the Make Up For Ever Artist Face Colors (P1,200). These are 5g pans of high-pigment, ultra-blendable highlight, sculpt, and blush face powders.
Editor's Eye Picks: The new Make Up For Ever Ink Liner and Color Paint
I'm a huge fan of Make Up For Ever because they always have professional makeup artists in mind when they create products. Their colors can be as creative and exciting as they can be wearable, plus the formulas - they wear so well during the day! I always pick up MUFE when I know that I need my face to stay with me for at least a solid eight hours.
Recently, MUFE launched two new eye products: the Aqua XL Ink Liner (P1,400) and Aqua XL Color Paint (P1,495). These are designed to be water-resistant and long-wearing, with lots of fun color options. I've been testing them out for a couple months now and here's what I think!
Blurred Lines: Makeup that's actually good for your skin
Have you ever experienced being told that wearing makeup will ruin your skin? It's something I've heard older people say, and honestly, I can't blame them for thinking this way. Before there were laboratories, technological advances, and actual cosmetic chemists that formulate the makeup we use today, people just used whatever was available and looked good. For example, both the Japanese geisha and Queen Elizabeth I used lead to whiten their faces!
Beauty Roundup: Pink Sugar Eye Shadow Quads, Kat Von D in the PH and ColourPop Polishes!
They say “one’s company, two’s a crowd and three’s a party” and this week’s roundup is nothing sort of a grand celebration! We’ve got a ton of things to get through that will have you partying up the weekend with excitement. Love spoiling your hair with delicious treats? Well, The Body Shop has something fruity and refreshing for your scalp. Love getting manis and pedis? ColourPop has something fun and pastel just for you. Always wanted makeup by Kat Von D but didn’t know where to get it? Look no further cause it’s finally in the PH! It’s a party up in here, PV ladies, and we’re going to have so much fun!
