I can’t believe 2023 is almost over! It’s been a solid year for beauty comebacks and upstarts. I feel like slowly but surely, the beauty industry has finally found a foothold in the post-pandemic landscape. Let’s take a look at new products we can take delight in this coming year!

Land-ho! SpongeBob Squarepants x Careline new additions
Liz previously wrote about Careline’s SpongeBob Squarepants Collection a while back. Well apparently, they’re not done blowing our minds just yet. The collection now has powder blushes, 4 lippie formulas, and two 9-pan eyeshadow palettes! Liz breaks it down with a full review of the new drops, accompanied by price details and product swatches. I’m intrigued with the Best Ever Blush (P250) because of Liz’s 6-hour wear review! I personally appreciate how the local brand curated such a wide range of products for the collaboration, combined with the affordable price range, and irresistibly cute packaging. Seeing the collection just makes me smile, and reminds me to have fun with my makeup looks, too.

Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) new Lip Velvet liquid lipsticks
Surprise! ABH has a new liquid lipstick: meet Lip Velvet, a non-drying creamy mousse formula that promises to deliver pigmented color without drying the lips. The color selection is consistent with the nude shades the brand is known for, including a few peach shades perfect for a Peach Fuzz look! There are a total of six (6) wearable shades: Pure Hollywood (pale mauve nude), Peachy Nude (light peachy nude), Parchment (peachy brown), Kiss (rose petal pink), Crush (soft beige), and Peach Amber (deep warm peach). This is definitely something to watch out for: will the reviews live up to the hype? I am living for the minimalist luxe packaging! The collection drops on December 28th via their website. I can only hope and pray that they will be available soon on Sephora.ph, too.

MAC Cosmetics 2024 Lovestruck Luck Collection
How cute is MAC’s 2024 collection? Unapologetically red with cute hearts all around, the collection features an eyeshadow palette with 6 shades, 3 lipsticks, 2 pressed powder blushes, a liquid highlighter, loose setting powder, mascara, and a Hyper Real cleanser. Fans have been commenting online that it looks a little too similar to 2023’s Lunar Luck Collection. While both do come in red packaging, the 2024 collection stands out with a cute overlapping heart motif. We don’t have full details just yet if these will be new products or just limited edition packaging. They look like they just might bring some luck in love in 2024 Year of the Dragon! These will be available soon online, and hopefully at local MAC stores soon too.

New Benefit Dandelion Gold blush
Here is another new release in honor of 2024 Year of the Dragon. Benefit released their bestselling Dandelion blush with a gold finish and is now available… in Europe. How cute are those little dragon scales? This seems like a limited edition release only available in Europe, at least for now (crosses fingers). Check it out if you’re going on a Euro trip sometime soon!
