Beauty Roundup: Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ PH launch, vitanature+ Natural Bar Soaps, new Issy Micropalette, and new GRWM Lip Glaze shades

When it comes to applying makeup, the ‘less is more’ mindset is what I usually subscribe to. But when it comes to new things to love in the local beauty scene, more is definitely better! This week’s beauty news roundup covers the local launch of K-beauty brand Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™line. If you’re looking for a new gentle bar soap with active ingredients, vitanature+ has a couple of candidates for you. We’ll also get acquainted with new drops from local brands Issy Cosmetics (Micropalette and Curated Eyeshadow Quads) and GRWM Cosmetics (new Tinted Lip Glaze shades).

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™collection launch

Undoubtedly, Dr. Jart+ is one of the pioneer K-Beauty brands to be known internationally. No wonder, as their founder Leeo (Chin Wook) Lee was one of the first to develop the bb cream for commercial distribution in 2005. From there, they developed more innovative skin care products that have become beloved to many. And now, they are officially available here in the Philippines!

On July 1st, Dr. Jart+ was formally introduced to guests, with emphasis on their Cicapair™ collection. This product line was deemed most compatible with our local skin concerns, specifically for skin sensitivity to irritants like pollution, heat, dirt, sun exposure, and more. The star ingredient of the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Collection is Centella Asiatica, known to reduce redness and skin irritation.

Aside from their best-selling Cicapair™ line, other collections available include Ceramidin™ Collection, Dermask™ Collection, and Vital Hydra Solution™ Collection. Dr.Jart+ is exclusively available at  Watsons and LOOK At Me stores nationwide, watsons.com.ph and Watsons official stores on Shopee and Lazada.

Fuss-free cleansing with vitanature+ Natural Bar Soaps

Last May, we introduced you to a Thai beauty brand vitanature+ and their scalp treatments. Their unique formulations are a unique blend of natural ingredients combined with skin care actives, all wrapped up in eco-friendly packaging. The brand also carries Natural Bar Soaps that can be used for the face and body. Bar soaps have gotten a bad rep in recent years, but these just might change your mind!  With the same approach as their hair care solutions, these cleansers combine the best of science and nature. They are also free of synthetic fragrance, silicones, and parabens. Social media darlings Rei Germar and Camille Co have so many nice things to say about them.

Rei Germar swears that vitanature+ Anti-Blemish Natural Bar Soap (P240, 8g) has helped keep her skin clear. This effective yet gentle soap helps reduce bacterial buildup in pores and helps minimize excess oil. It is formulated with 1% Salicylic Acid, Niacinamide, and Collagen. It is also enriched with Coconut Oil, Royal Jelly Extract, Goji Berry Fruit Extract, Grape Seed Extract, and Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract. A potent mix of brightening, calming, and hydrating ingredients!

Camille Co recommends vitanature+ Baby Face Natural Bar Soap (P280, 80g) for youthful-looking skin. Giving a hydrating cleanse that improves skin elasticity, this bar soap is infused with Collagen, Honey Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, and Coconut Oil. For a more luxe experience, it can also be used as a foaming whip soap.

Vitanature+ Anti-Blemish Natural Bar Soap 80g (P240) and vitanature+ Baby Face Natural Bar Soap 80g (P280) are exclusively available at Watsons, Mercury Drug, and at the official vitanature+ stores at Lazada, Shopee, and Tiktok. Hot tip: check out their bundle deals online for the 7.7 sales!

Meet Issy’s new Micropalettes

Issy Cosmetics is known for bringing groundbreaking releases to the local beauty scene. Issy fans went gaga over their first release of the magnetic Customizable Eye and Face Palette (P299) that can be filled with your choice of face and eye color singles. This week, they’re making headlines with the release of a mini version! Meet the Customizable Eye and Face Micropalette (P199), which can house 1 big face pan, 2 small face pans, or 4 eyeshadow single pans. I also appreciate the transparent cover–allowing a glimpse of its contents at one glance.

Available online for a limited time only, the brand also released Curated Eyeshadow Quad Micropalettes (P599 instead of P799). Each set includes four (4) curated eyeshadow singles in their new Customizable Eye and Face Micropalette. Take your pick from six (6) colorways: Divine (warm neutrals), Hex (dark warm tones), Punish (warm-toned rose), Conjure (cool-toned rose), Jinx (cool neutrals), and Curse (dark cool tones).

New GRWM Tinted Lip Glaze shades to love

Here’s proof that GRWM listens to their Goal-getters’ requests: the Tinted Lip Glaze (P299) has five new delicious shades. Initially released with seven shades, this formula was beloved for its opaque gloss that leaves a lasting stain.

A dozen glazed doughnuts, I mean Tinted Lip Glaze shades, coming right up! Meet Aye (rosewood mauve), Yumi (deep rose), Ribbon (toasted mauve), Ballerina (muted almond pink), and Baywatch (neutral medium red). The initially released shades are also still available: Ponkan (toasted brown), Strawberry (warm berry pink), Upside Brown (autumn brick red), 24/7 (rose mauve), 90’s Brown (terracotta brown), b(warm nude), and Not Basic (medium berry).

And that’s it for this week’s beauty news roundup! I’m so happy to see that local brands are thriving with exciting new releases. At the same time, more and more international beauty brands have become more accessible locally. I wonder what news the next beauty roundup brings. See you on the next one!
