Launch + Swatches: The New Colourette Colourdrip Lip Oil-Serum

Colourette has been busy recently what with their two million-dollar fundraise and now, they have a new product that’s designed to slide into your lip routine. In a playful launch embodying the quintessential Pinoy sari-sari store, Colourette CEO Nina Ellaine Dizon opened up Tindahan ni Aling Nina to introduce guests and FBeauty lovers to Colourdrip!

Colourdrip Lip Oil-Serum (P349/5.6ml) is the brand’s first lip serum formulated to deliver instant hydration, lip smoothening, and lightweight wear with a high gloss finish. It is infused with a mix of jojoba oil, hazelnut seed oil, and multiflora rose oil. These oils are easily absorbed into the lips for deep hydration preventing dryness and chapping, all without a greasy residue other lip oils might have. Colourdrip comes in three shades: Sugar, Spice, and Nice. Sugar is a blush pink sheer shade while Nice is a your-lips-but better nude with a light microshimmer. Spice is the shade with the most pigment that comes in a cherry-cola red.

This launch is also special as it features the second batch of models scouted during Colourette’s second open call event. Colourette prides itself on representing the Filipino community. The Go-See allows Colourette to connect with their community, and with every campaign aim to inspire everyone that beauty is attainable. I find this praiseworthy as it allows me to see myself in each photo and makes products relatable and less like I’m being advertised to.

I love lip oils, and have been reaching for a lip oil every time I leave my house. I even have one in each bag! My love for sheer, my-lips-but-better stains and oils stem from my dry chapped lips. I’ve had them for as long as I can remember; Vaseline slugging, lip masks, and hydrating lip oils aren’t a need but a must. So yes, you can bet I was excited about the Colourdrip!

From top to bottom - Sugar, Spice, and Nice

Sugar

Spice

Nice

Colourdrip comes in three shades, and I immediately gravitated towards Nice and Spice. Nice is a sheer nude and worked to even out some of my lip pigmentation while Spice carries the pigment you need for a grab and go lip. Sugar goes on sheer and does not hide my two-toned lips so I would most likely use this at home for regular hydration or as a topper for a gloss finish. All three were moisturizing while still being lighter than other lip oils I’ve tried in the past. The oils have a light sweet and juicy scent while being unflavored. These are products I will be keeping close at hand, especially Spice!

It’s worth mentioning that if you’re looking for a pigmented stain, this is not the product for you. These are quite sheer, so you need to manage expectations.

We recently covered some of Colourette’s newest milestones from raising $2 million in funding and CEO Nina Ellaine’s newest book, making 2024 a big year for the brand. But the year isn’t over yet, and members of the community have much to look forward to! No concrete details have been shared but there’s already news of even more exciting releases this year.
