Five Beauty: The Philippines’ First Hybrid Beauty Brand Helps You Get #ReadyInFive

As 2023 is about to close, it's clear that this year has shaped up to be a monumental one for Filipino beauty. Cosmetics have made a grand comeback, bigger and better, mirroring our collective resurgence post-pandemic. Still, it seems 2023 has reserved its most thrilling reveal for the finale. The Philippines' pioneering hybrid beauty brand is set to launch their much-anticipated multi-use beauty essential this December, perfectly timed for your Christmas wishlist. I'm excited to share with you the arrival of Five Beauty – a brand that promises to redefine our beauty routines!

Five Beauty is the Philippines’ first hybrid beauty brand - combining science-based skincare and high-performance colour cosmetics, to give you multi-use beauty essentials that allow you to get #ReadyInFive! Our favorite Encantadia Sang’gre Gabbi Garcia is the celebrity co-founder of Five Beauty and co-founded the brand with Isabel Regino and Veronica Eala. Their goal with this brand is to elevate Filipino beauty to the international market and share that they hope to find Filipino beauty products in stores worldwide as easily as you find KBeauty or JBeauty.

The star-studded launch was attended by top makeup artists, celebrities, and beauty influencers all ready to swatch and discover Five Beauty’s first product launch, the Hybrid Colour Stick (P399 intro price, P699 regular price for 20 grams). Featuring a buildable, blendable formula, the multi-use Hybrid Colour Stick melts on the skin, leaving you with a radiant and brightening flush of color. It can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips.

Hybrid Colour Stick Collection

The Hybrid Colour Stick is both skincare and beauty made with clean and cruelty free ingredients that are sensitive skin approved and enriched with SPF20. Their power packed formula comes enriched with skin-boosting ingredients like olive oil, jojoba oil, meadowfoam oil, goji berry, and aloe leaf extract. These together give a formula that hydrates, repairs, and brightens the skin while protecting it from the sun!

The Hybrid Colour Stick comes in five flattering shades.

  • Sunkissed is a bright peachy coral.

  • Bliss is a buildable, cool rosy pink with a subtle shimmer.

  • Dreamy is a warm creamy terracotta that I have found to be a perfect nude for my morena skin!

  • Iconic is a posh and vivid red and is predicted to be the crowd favorite.

  • Mystique is a soft fuschia berry that I already plan to use for my upcoming holiday parties.

One swipe swatch (left) and a slightly blended-out swatch (right). Top to bottom: Sunkissed, Bliss, Dreamy, Iconic, Mystique.

The Hybrid Colour Sticks come in convenient packaging perfect for popping into your purse and getting ready on the go. I brought these to a weekend in Bataan and they were great for adding a burst of colour while we lounged by the pool. Of course, the SPF20 didn’t hurt either! They really do melt on the skin and leave the skin feeling moisturized and pampered.

Applying to the cheeks is easy using a wide swipe, while applying to the lips I found that turning the tube allows me to control where I apply color using a corner of the stick. For the eyes, applying color and blending it out is easily done with just a fingertip and still delivers that bright pigment. But don’t let the blendable formula fool you, the color lasts for up to 12 hours allowing you to be worry free all day  without the need for a touch up!
