Skincare Review: Why The Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Signature Serum Is My New Fave
Ever since I discovered Laneige, I've been a fan of their skincare and base products. The ambassador then was still Song Hye Kyo (The Glory); now it’s Kim You Jung (20th Century Girl) and Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria). It’s just one of those brands that work so well on my skin, and in fact I have yet to try a product from them that I didn’t enjoy. New releases are always a treat to check out! The new Laneige Perfect Renew 3X skincare line especially feels attuned to my current needs now that I am in my late thirties.
These products aim to help you age gracefully by making use of Laneige's cutting-edge research and technology. The 3X™ refers to a key combination of Bioflavonoid, Peptide, and Retinol that combats the signs of #AcceleratedAging: Loss of Firmness, Appearance of Fine Lines, and Dullness. Other ingredients that help each product fulfill their purpose are the Ectoin in the Perfect Renew 3X Skin Refiner (P2,350), the Squalane and Betaine in the Perfect Renew 3X Emulsion (P2,550), plus the Madecassoside and Centella Asiatica in the Perfect Renew 3X Cream (P3,700).

Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Signature Serum
I have been using the Skin Refiner, Emulsion, and the Signature Serum for a couple of weeks now and the combination gives me healthy looking skin with reduced redness in the morning. I mostly use the set at night in the following order after cleansing: 3X Skin Refiner, 3X Signature Serum, then 3X Emulsion. The Perfect Renew 3X Cream is still out of stock as of writing but I did get to try it during the launch and it's a rich cream that easily absorbs onto the skin and leaves a subtle glow. It would be a good addition to the overall line though if you’re looking for more hydration, the Water Bank Cream Blue Hyaluronic Cream might be a good choice.
Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Signature Serum: 3 serums in one efficient and effective packaging (Radiance Serum, Firming Serum, Wrinkle Serum)
There are 2 special products in the Perfect Renew line: the Youth Retinol Cream and the 3X Signature Serum. The Youth Retinol Cream (P2,250) is made with the inclusion of 95% pure retinol and supported with Hyaluronic Acid and Tripeptide. It's mild enough for first-time users of retinol but do start out once a week to give time for your skin to adjust. And remember to apply sunscreen in the morning when using any retinol products!
The Signature Serum (P4,200) is a single product in the line-up but it is made up of three serums. With each pump, you get all three at the same time! The yellow serum has Retinol Capsules + Ceramide for addressing wrinkles. The white serum has Collagen Peptide Complex for strengthening skin firmness. The brown serum has RE.D Flavonoid + Ferulic Acid for boosting skin radiance. Laneige decided to combine them only after pumping out a dose for increased efficiency. The packaging also considers how to keep the product protected from sunlight, a usual problem with serums. It has a twist-up design that keeps the Signature Serum covered when not in use.
Bare skin after a month of using Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Serum and around 2 weeks of the 3X Skin Refiner and 3X Emulsion
I have been using the Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Signature Serum for around a month now and I’m quite pleased with my skin’s progress. The pores are still quite visible up close but of course, I didn’t expect them to miraculously disappear. The fine lines around my mouth area are barely noticeable and my skin looks healthy and glowing. I’m quite happy that I can continue using just sunscreen when going out for errands or a school run and then applying concealer for those days when I need to look a bit more polished. I highly recommend the Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Line especially the Laneige Perfect Renew 3X Signature Serum. I will also continue to use the products to see how far the improvements can be after finishing up the entire routine.
