I've been on a roll lately with trying out skin tints! The hot weather regardless of the time of the year is perfect for using these. Supposedly lighter in feel and coverage than my well-liked tinted moisturizers, this type of base makeup provides glowy, even skin.

People always ask me if I’ve tried or want to try the lash lift procedure. We’ve had writers on Project Vanity do a review before, but I personally think it’s not for me. I prefer to rely on really, really good mascaras instead! I know the power of long, voluminous lashes in framing my eyes, so I rarely skip mascara (only on gym day).

I first heard about the Maybelline Sky High Mascara about a year ago, but I couldn’t get my hands on it because it wasn’t available in the Philippines. Finally, it’s here! I bought it from Lazada for P499 from the Maybelline Flagship Store.

It’s the end of another working week and you know what that means - it’s time for another beauty roundup! Can I just say how happy it makes me that we get to enjoy beauty releases on a weekly basis? The beauty industry is truly a gift that keeps on giving! Okay, time for this week’s latest!

Time for another beauty roundup! I know, I know. It’s Friday again. Time truly flies, right? For this week’s beauty roundup, we’re talking about the Maybelline Brooklyn Blush Collection, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer, and the ColourPop Astrology Eyeshadow Quads!

Now that we’re on masks all the time, eye makeup has never been more relevant. These days I don’t step out of the house without at least some eyebrows and mascara on. Forget the base - these two products are all I need to look presentable! Anyway my favorite mascara find last year is the Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift Mascara (P379 on Lazada). THIS IS SO GOOD. It’s the best AND most affordable drugstore mascara I’ve found to date. I’m already on my second tube!

Prior to the pandemic, I was admittedly not all that concerned about how long-wearing my lipsticks were. I didn’t mind repeatedly re-applying, and I even found the process fun. But with the need to constantly keep the mask on when outside, except for stopping to eat or drink, the search for a mask-proof lippie gets high on the priority list. So let’s turn to a line with an impressive reputation, the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks (P299).

Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink is a big favorite in the drugstore liquid lippie category, and earned the first runner-up spot during Project Vanity’s 2019 Beauty Awards! I don’t often use liquid lipsticks but I’ve been curious to know what the hype is about. The arrival of the new Superstay Matte Ink Pink Edition (P299 each) presented the perfect opportunity for me to finally try this cult favorite.

When I first started buying my own makeup, I bought some of my very first lipsticks from Maybelline.
