An affordable daily base: The Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint with Vitamin
I've been on a roll lately with trying out skin tints! The hot weather regardless of the time of the year is perfect for using these. Supposedly lighter in feel and coverage than my well-liked tinted moisturizers, this type of base makeup provides glowy, even skin.
The Maybelline Fit Me Fresh Tint with Vitamin C (P399) is a "2-in-1 makeup and skincare product". The makeup part comes from its light coverage while the skincare part comes from the Vitamin C which may help brighten skin over time.
Beauty Roundup: A new cushion foundation from Happy Skin, more from the blk cosmetics Daydream line, a vinyl lip product from Maybelline, and Trizie’s new flavor!
July is here, PV Community! Can you even believe it? We’re now starting the latter half of the year and what better way to do so than with beauty, right? So let’s get straight to it - here are what’s the latest in beauty!
My new daily fave: The Maybelline Sky High Mascara
People always ask me if I’ve tried or want to try the lash lift procedure. We’ve had writers on Project Vanity do a review before, but I personally think it’s not for me. I prefer to rely on really, really good mascaras instead! I know the power of long, voluminous lashes in framing my eyes, so I rarely skip mascara (only on gym day).
I first heard about the Maybelline Sky High Mascara about a year ago, but I couldn’t get my hands on it because it wasn’t available in the Philippines. Finally, it’s here! I bought it from Lazada for P499 from the Maybelline Flagship Store.
Beauty Roundup: New bases from Happy Skin and Detail Cosmetics, The Body Shop All-in-One Stick, MAC Lightful C3, and a new Maybelline mascara!
How’s it going, PV Community? To all the working girls out there, are you reporting back to the office already? I’ll be doing so soon, and one thing that excites me about it is that I’ll get to curate an office makeup bag again. Now, perhaps a product on this week’s beauty roundup list will make the cut.
Beauty Roundup: A new lip gloss from Maybelline, face palettes from Natasha Denona, and makeup releases from Haus Labs and Huda Beauty!
It’s that time of the week again. Yes, another round of beauty news. Before we proceed, I just have to ask this - don’t you love it when a product you’ve been wanting for so long is finally released in the Philippines? Okay, that’s clearly a rhetorical question.
Beauty Roundup: Issy & Co.’s new Skin On the Go Collection, Glow Sticks from blk cosmetics, a multitasking spray from Clocheflame, and more!
How are you all doing, Project Vanity Community? I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe. Another week has passed and it’s time for another beauty roundup! I’m excited for the lineup of news this week, and I think you’ll feel the same. Let’s go!
Beauty Roundup: Bigger and badder brows from Issy & Co., jelly lips from Detail Cosmetics, mattes from Maybelline, and the arrival of Thai beauty brand Baby Bright!
It’s the end of another working week and you know what that means - it’s time for another beauty roundup! Can I just say how happy it makes me that we get to enjoy beauty releases on a weekly basis? The beauty industry is truly a gift that keeps on giving! Okay, time for this week’s latest!
Beauty Roundup: New Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink shades, ABH concealers, and astrology eyeshadow quads from ColourPop!
Time for another beauty roundup! I know, I know. It’s Friday again. Time truly flies, right? For this week’s beauty roundup, we’re talking about the Maybelline Brooklyn Blush Collection, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Magic Touch Concealer, and the ColourPop Astrology Eyeshadow Quads!
A Rave: Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift Mascara
Now that we’re on masks all the time, eye makeup has never been more relevant. These days I don’t step out of the house without at least some eyebrows and mascara on. Forget the base - these two products are all I need to look presentable! Anyway my favorite mascara find last year is the Maybelline The Falsies Lash Lift Mascara (P379 on Lazada). THIS IS SO GOOD. It’s the best AND most affordable drugstore mascara I’ve found to date. I’m already on my second tube!
Mask-proof and pretty: Swatches of Maybelline's newest Super Stay Matte Ink shades
Prior to the pandemic, I was admittedly not all that concerned about how long-wearing my lipsticks were. I didn’t mind repeatedly re-applying, and I even found the process fun. But with the need to constantly keep the mask on when outside, except for stopping to eat or drink, the search for a mask-proof lippie gets high on the priority list. So let’s turn to a line with an impressive reputation, the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks (P299).
Maybelline’s Superstay Matte Ink Pink Edition: Fun, wearable pinks in a rock solid formula
Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink is a big favorite in the drugstore liquid lippie category, and earned the first runner-up spot during Project Vanity’s 2019 Beauty Awards! I don’t often use liquid lipsticks but I’ve been curious to know what the hype is about. The arrival of the new Superstay Matte Ink Pink Edition (P299 each) presented the perfect opportunity for me to finally try this cult favorite.
Beauty Roundup: Lady Gaga lippies, Sailor Moon x Colourpop, and Hollywood’s Serum!
How is February almost over?! 2020 is off to a quick start, but we’re slowing things down for this week’s beauty roundup. We’re talking about Lady Gaga’s lippie launch, an anime and beauty crossover, and Dior’s crazy new skincare line. We’ve also got the scoop on a new brow product from Maybelline, so read on if you love being on fleek!
Beauty Roundup: Glossier’s “perfect” liquid eyeliner, a bunch of pout pieces, and Mercury Retrograde in the PH
What do a wing tip, a bunch of lipsticks, and a crazy eyeshadow palette have in common? This beauty roundup! We’re welcoming the month of November with some crazy launches that’ll have you seeing stars! We’ve got the latest on Glossier’s new makeup baby as well as to Maybelline’s newest lippie craze and Huda Beauty’s sold out palette.
Full swatches + review of the Maybelline City Heat: The Brick Collection
When I first started buying my own makeup, I bought some of my very first lipsticks from Maybelline. I have been a fan of their Creamy Matte line for years now, and still reach for Maybelline faves like Clay Crush, Nude Nuance, and Touch of Spice despite owning over a hundred lipsticks! And it’s not hard to understand why.
Swatches + Review: What we think of the new Maybelline lip tint, liquid liner, and foundation
Whether you’re putting together your first makeup kit or a seasoned pro stocking up on work essentials, Maybelline is a reliable go-to drugstore brand for beauty fans. They recently launched three new products that claim to be long-wearing and more, so we tested them to see if they actually deliver.
Are these lipsticks really universal? We test Maybelline’s Lipsticks For All line
Foundations used to be the one makeup product that I could live without. For the longest time, I couldn’t find a shade match for my morena skin among the drugstore choices I could afford. I would have given up on foundations completely had I not found my color match at a high-end brand. While brands have been making an effort to be more inclusive with their foundation shade ranges, the same is not always true for lipstick color options. Ever fallen in love with a lipstick shade only to find that it doesn’t work for your skin tone? It’s a little heartbreaking.
Are Maybelline’s Super Stay Matte Ink lippies worth the hype?
Liquid lipsticks never seem to go out of style. Both drugstore and high-end brands are constantly putting out their own version of this classic beauty staple, but many a makeup addict asks for just one thing: a budge-proof formula. When the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipsticks came into the scene, the beauty community was abuzz about how it was the most affordable long-wearing liquid lipstick ever. It flew off the shelves when it was locally launched last year, and recently released 14 new shades inspired by the vibrant hues of New York City. From pinks and deep reds, to oranges and dark purple - they got it all covered! Many have raved about this formula so I set out to test if it’s really worth all the fuss.
