A Rave: The Tapies Boobie Lifter

I grew up with my mom insisting that I had to wear a bra every single day—otherwise, my boobs would start sagging immediately. And, of course, I believed her. Who wouldn’t trust their mom on these things? But as it turns out, not only do bras not prevent sagging, they might actually make it worse in the long run! Over time, relying on them can weaken the connective tissues that naturally support our breasts, since the bra is doing all the heavy lifting instead. Shocking, right? These days, I rarely wear one. I’ll put one on if I’m wearing something super fitted or if I’m working out, but otherwise, I’m on the nipple tape train.

I’ve tried the Bench nipple tape and the 30-peso ones from Shopee also. They’re fine, but the real game changer for me are the Tapies Daily Nipple Cover-Ups (P336) and the Tapies Boobie Lifter (P369). I’ve been using these for months and I love them! They really smoothen out the nipple (they’re hard-ish in the middle and soft around) and more importantly, they round up the boobs instead of squishing them flat. They stick well despite being adhesive-free (goodbye skin irritation! Goodbye to dust, dead skin, and hair clinging to the adhesive!), and you only need to wash them with soap to clean them.

I’ve even worn them for sports, and they stay put despite heavy sweating. That said, if you’re doing a lot of jumping around, you’ll still need even just an unpadded bra to keep them pressed against your skin—because once they lose contact, they won’t re-adhere as well.

There are four different shades available so that it can look undetectable even when you’re wearing white or sheerer fabrics. Milk is the fairest, while Almond is for those with deep tans. I use the shade in Oat, a medium shade, which is a near perfect match to my skin.

The Tapies Boobie Lifter can lift boobs up by a little bit, but the trick is in placement. If you have some bigger folds around your chest, it might be difficult to get purchase so the tapes can do the lifting. I suggest experiment with that and make sure the nipple tape is completely flat and won’t fold over when you start moving around.

My favorite is really the Daily Nipple Cover-Ups, and I use them pretty much, well, daily. They’re like the Bobbie Lifter but without the lifting tabs! They’re just circles. I highly highly recommend them if you’re looking for an everyday nipple tape that will keep up with your busy life. There are two sizes, 8cm and 10cm. If you have bigger aureolas or just want more coverage, I recommend the 10cm.

Important: you do have to care for these properly. Don’t stick them with the sticky sides together; otherwise you’ll ruin it (I learned this the hard way). Rinse them with a mild soap and air-dry them with the smooth silicone part on the surface and sticky side facing upwards. If you’re traveling with them, store them in the resealable pouch and golden plastic they come in to protect the shape.

Overall, I love Tapies, and recommend them to anyone looking for a dependable nipple tape. Check it out and let me know how it works for you!
