Five moisturizers I swear by

Moisturizing makes us human. You don't see monkeys applying a jar of beauty cream of their faces, do you? Corny jokes aside, moisturizing is serious business. It's a crucial part of skincare that can make or break your skin. Using the right ones consistently can get you get glowing, healthy skin until well into old age. Using the wrong one - or not using any at all - will get you less than ideal skin that ages faster and heals slower.

We've already written about affordable ones that are under P500, but if you're curious about my best price-is-no-object finds, here are five!

Clinique Even Better Brightening Moisture Cream Plus (P2,550). I've been using this for almost two years now. It's a bit heavy, but it brightens my skin without fail and clears out my blemishes more quickly. It just works, I don't know how!

Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream (no price info). Nuxe is a French pharmacie brand that's not so expensive for the quality of the products. It smells a bit like La Mer; I'm inclined to think it's poor woman's La Mer because it has the same texture as the original cream formula of the brand. I don't notice that it takes away my skin's fatigue, but I like how it just makes my skin plump and hydrated, like I had a good night's sleep.

Yup, I only typically apply it at night too!

Estee Lauder Nutritious Rosy Prism Radiant Gel Emulsion (P3,750). I've sworn by the Nutritious line up and down several times already so I probably sound like a broken record by now. But. If you're looking for the lightest gel moisturizer EVER, this is the one. It smells so wonderful, too! It has brightening properties which I always look for in my moisturizer.

Origins Make A Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment (~P2,000). This is another gel moisturizer which functions much like the Nutritious. The main difference though is the energizing orange scent! I love using it, if only for sniffing purposes haha. This moisturizer jolts my skin back to life whenever it's looking dull.

Gel De La Mer (no price info). This is the heaviest gel moisturizer out of the three in my list. There's something in it that makes my skin calmer and less prone to breaking out. La Mer is quite expensive though so I rotate this often with the other moisturizers; it's what I use whenever I feel like treating my skin extra nice. (Do you get like that with your priciest stuff?)

Hope you enjoyed my list! I'd love to hear about your best moisturizers too!
