LA-born J.Cat Beauty fits the bill as it offers excellent formulas and colors for a reasonable price! On top of being cruelty-free, the brand has been drawing praise from beauty gurus like Michelle Phan and Desi Perkins. J.Cat Beauty has already opened branches in Uptown Mall BGC last year as well as in Ayala Malls Vertis North, and they recently opened their Gateway branch with a bang! They introduced their brand ambassadors as the #MakeupKittens, which is composed of Arci Muñoz, KC Del Rosario, Jessica Yang, and Jach Manere!

The road to running my own company at 28 was an unexpected one. I always thought I’d be working a corporate job for most of my life and maybe finally running my own business when I retire. One of our favorite direct selling beauty brands, Mary Kay, celebrates its 17th year in the Philippines! It seems like only yesterday when I first started seeing catalogs of the brand. And now, the brand is stronger than ever with its crowd favorites and new products as well!

With the variety of paints, powders, and products available, playing with makeup can be quite a creative adventure. But sometimes, as with any art form (and makeup is definitely an art), it helps to get a little inspiration.  

Enter Beauty Discovery, the special pop-up in SM Makati created by luxe brands Shisedo, Guerlain, and Elizabeth Arden. The booth allows makeup lovers to try the brands' luxurious creations, and to serve as a guide, they had a Beauty Lookbook Workshop hosted and taught by PV’s very own Liz Lanuzo! The event happened last July 8 at SM Makati.
