It’s never too early to start preparing your holiday looks for all those family reunions, office parties, and barkada meetups! After all, the festive season is the perfect time to be adventurous with your FOTDs. If you’re tired of the same old, same old, here’s something new and sparkly from Inglot to rival those brightly-lit trees and parols!

The Inglot Me Like Illuminating Face and Body Mist in Bamboo (P1,195 for 50ml) is a scented, shimmery face and body mist that feels very summer-fresh despite being released for the chillier Ber months. This lightweight mist is enriched with vitamin B3 formula to moisturize, tone, and refresh the skin. Hydrolized alga protects the skin from the negative influence of external factors.

The canister shows a lot of shimmer swimming through the liquid base, but the glow this product delivers is more sun-kissed rather than on-fleek. You can see where I spray it on the back of my hand - only that area looks lit from within, while the rest of my arm looks like its normal, dull self. There is a strong floral fragrance that I don’t agree with, but since this is meant to be used all over the face and body (it looks lovely on the chest and shoulder area!) I get why it was added.

On the face, it feels sticky for the first few moments after application, but settles into a dry-dewy set for the time I wear it. The fineness of the shimmer blends well with my facial oils when I do eventually oil up. I also like how it brings subtle life to my base – a feat difficult to correct once I’ve mistakenly committed to a really flat base.

I love the super even and super fine atomizer! Many casual makeup users don’t realize how incredibly important the packaging is for facial mists and fixing sprays. Regular atomizers may not push the product out with enough force, so it becomes difficult to get an even layer with a “limp” mist. Other atomizers cannot spray a fine mist. This leads to the formation of water droplets and a slower drying time on top of an uneven application. The Me Like mister is something special with its ability to dispense a fine, thin layer of mist.

If that isn’t enough holiday sparkle for you, have a hand at the Inglot AMC Pure Pigment in #63 (P1,250 for 2g.) This highly concentrated loose powder contains sponge gourd oil and almost 90% pure pigment. The Pure Pigment line offers subtle to ultra-intense effects depending on application. The shade 63 is a chunky bronze that easily applies dry. When mixed with Inglot Duraline (P995 for 9ml) though, this powder eyeshadow transforms into water-proof and budge-proof cream formula! The color base is pretty much the same, but the metallic shine amps up like crazy. It almost looks like liquid metal!

Check out my Golden Smoke look, a modern take on the smokey eye. Here I applied a black, smokey eye as normal, but brushed some Duraline + AMC Pure Pigment in #63 mix on the center of the lid. Instead of a solid gold cut crease, I was going for a more diffused look, where you can still see the smokey eye under the shimmer. Think of it as an editorial take on the cut crease.

I wanted to emphasize the shine on the eyes by also subtly applying shimmer all over the face. I did this by using a matte foundation set with the Me Like Illuminating Face and Body Mist. I like this method better than simply using highlighter, because full-on highlighter can be too intense and can take attention away from the eyes.

What I love about these products is that I can see myself wearing them even beyond the holidays. The Me Like Illuminating Face and Body Mist works great for restoring glow to a super matte face base, and I will definitely be checking out more of the AMC Pure Pigments for colors to add to my pro kit. And if you struggle to keep eye makeup on because of oily lids, the Duraline will change your life!
